key points when selecting a contractor:
Communication —
Working with a builder is a multi-month proposition.
Make sure to pick a general contractor who
makes you feel comfortable and with whom you can easily

over all proposals carefully. A bid may appear low
if it does not cover every aspect
of a project or specify the quality of the materials.

Process and Inspectors — The permitting process
is complex and varies by town. Having a good working
relationship with the local building inspectors is important
